I carried out this project at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Arizona (Tucson, AZ, USA), where I served as an Academic Visitor from 1 September 2008 to 31 May 2009. During this period, I had the honour of working with Professor Robert M. Harnish. My research and stay at the Department were funded by the Polish–American Fulbright Commission under the 2008–2009 Fulbright Senior Research Grant.
The results of the project were disseminated through conference and seminar presentations. They also significantly influenced the conception and content of two of my publications: the research article Scepticism about reflexive intentions refuted, published in Lodz Papers in Pragmatics (2009), and my habilitation monograph Spór o podstawy teorii czynności mowy (The Dispute over the Foundations of Speech Act Theory), Szczecin 2011.
